Sportsmanship and Respect Pledge

1. I pledge to learn and abide by the rules of the game and the policies set forth by the league.
   1. I pledge to have my player at practices/games per schedules provided by coaches or league calendars. I will promptly pick up my player after all games and practices.
   2. I pledge to "Honor the Game," and show respect for all involved; including coaches, players, opponents, opposing fans, and officials. I recognized that everyone makes mistakes and if an official makes a "questionable" call, I will Honor the Game and be silent!
   3. I pledge to refrain from making negative or derogatory comments about others in my player's presence (this includes coaches, parents, players, officials, opposing fans).
   4. I pledge to refrain from yelling instructions to my child as this can adversely impact the coach's ability to execute plays designed for the team. I will limit my comments during the game to encouraging my child and other players from both teams.
   5. I pledge to address all issues with coaches by scheduling appointments to discuss (I will not confront 'Volunteers' after a practice or game).
   6. I pledge to refrain from all forms of Intimidation & Bullying (Threats or Acts of Violence will not be tolerated). This includes social media posts or comments.

Football Parent's Creed

2. I understand that the top three reasons kids play sports are to have fun, make new friends and learn new skills.
   1. I understand that Winners are people who make maximum effort, continue to learn and improve and do not let mistakes or fear of making mistakes discourage them. I will properly define what it is to be a "Winner" in my conversations with my child.
   2. I understand that 'the game' is for the kids, and I will encourage my player to have fun and keep sports in its proper perspective.
   3. I understand that athletes do their best when they are emotionally healthy, so I will be positive and supportive.
   4. I understand that I will encourage my player(s) to treat other players, coaches and volunteers with respect.
   5. I understand that mistakes are an inevitable part of any game and that people learn from their mistakes.
   6. I understand that children are born with different abilities and that the true measure of success is not how my player compares to others, but how they are doing in comparison to their own potential best self.

Violations may lead to suspension or expulsion, depending upon severity of incident!
